With the support of partners, Community Teams and Initiatives HA implements, we present ourselves to support the public. Find ways to engage and connect our Hispanic/LatinX communities. I celebrate my culture, diversity, education, music, women, mover-and-shakers, DREAMers, moms, friends, ambition, the boys and persistency. With a third hat, I work to implement the Student DREAMers Alliance (SDA) Leadership Program. This program quickly gained the attention and recognition of the McNulty Catalyst Fund in 2018 and is now on it’s 3rd graduating class (22-25 size). EVERYDAY, students have the mentality to take bold steps and get to the finish line; I get to witness the change, this is the job of many of my days. It’s a program that takes hopes, ideas and aspirations to create tangible steps for one’s future with tools to seek growth. Developed to support SDA students in Greenville County, considering that we are working to gradually change dysfunctional systems and create and environment of positive and impactful change. Through the program, students are asked to use their voice to go from survival mode to thrive mode, or aim in that direction.

The intern will support our organization by tracking data related to annual factsheets on the Hispanic population and support community research through completion of a needs assessment study. He/she will also help coordinate communication between HA Community Teams and coordinate volunteer efforts and implement teams’ initiatives to increase the local Hispanic population’s access to services in the area of Health, Education, Legal, and Finances. She will support with creating print and web-based communications, administrating sponsor relations correspondence and newsletters, creating communications material for fundraising events, and delivering social media information. Communicating with the public, the media, and various community organizations isakeyaspectoftheHispanicAlliance’soperations. The intern will also assist with administrative and operational tasks as needed to support projects, Community Team meeting and initiatives.
