Electrical Project Engineer –Usa (East Coast) & Canada
• Design development and co-ordination with local team at various plants to implement projects. This includes generating the design package including BOM, Wire/Conduit routing diagram, AutoCAD Electrical Schematics, PLC/HMI Programming, VFDs /Servo drive set up and programing, documentation with installation and commissioning support. Remote troubleshooting assistance to plant maintenance team, as needed.• Responsible for Fiber, Steel, Plastic packaging manufacturing industries with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs software and hardware RS Logix 500 and Rs Logix 5000, Studio 5000, Twin CAT with Ether CAT and K-bus Industrial PLCs , Step5 , Step7, TIA portal, Panel View, Comfort Panels and C-more HMIs, various Servo drives programming and parameters set up including Sew Euro drive, Koll morgen, Electromate, Bosch Rexroth Indramat drives, Variable Frequency drives from Allen Bradley power flex series and Reliance Electric VFDs installation, customized welding robotics arm installation and KUKA robots troubleshooting.• Design, commissioning and troubleshooting support for moderately complex machine control systems. Decides PLC specifications and various communication protocols including profibus, ehternet, profinet, ehternet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP, Sercos III etc. This included creating PLC program from scratch using mathematical instructions and modules. Working with analog signals and with proper scale.• Parameters set up for acceleration and deceleration on Servo drives. Drive configuration with constant and variable torque based on application with more than one type of drive using software platforms. Set-up HMI communication. Uses various network protocols to communicate between control systems and remote field devices. Familiar with PLC motion control instructions to control drive. Experience with VFD and can set it up using a software platform to set-up VFDs and/or Servos in a network to communicate with PLCs and set up absolute and incremental (shaft) encoders.
