As a squad member of a high-performing team and a distributed team member, I have the opportunity to wear many different hats. While my official title is Software Engineer, my primary tasks align with manual testing, requirements gathering, story and acceptance criteria creation, coaching, facilitation, metrics gathering, defect tracking, prioritization of work, demo creations, and customer interviews. The squad model made me to be a more rounded employee, which in turn has allowed me to contribute more in planning and the prioritization of work. My passion for Agile runs deep. Being able to help others find their passions for Agile brings me joy, whether it is through online training, hands on coaching, or spinning up a new team. Year of experience testing, utilizing the app to track my work, customer interviews, requirements gathering and defining acceptance criteria, have not only turned me into a product expert but also allowed me to better understand how our customers interact with our software. Other than helping others through coaching and facilitation, I would say customer interviews have been one of the highlights of my job, as I not only get to understand how users interact with our application but I have learn how intuitive our application is to our users. Main responsibility was to conduct end-to-end testing against multiple life science web-based applications, ensuring the applications were able to handle a load, functioned properly, and communicated with the database as expected. Additional responsibilities included writing Test Plans, Test Reports and Test Cases, defining Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes and procedures, and setting up the automation framework. In addition, I tracked defects (to include generating, troubleshooting and validating) using Trac, worked as part of the requirements and design teams, define user requirements, and scheduled development and testing, ensuring deadlines were met. Testing required backend validation using SQL commands to ensure data was being pulled/placed into the proper tables. Testing was conducted on multiple platforms against Firefox and Internet Explorer. Created Test Cases, Test Plans and Test Reports. Conducting several levels of testing from load to regression to automation.

(position 1) Main responsibility is to lead a four to six manual testers in the second application releases of TouchPoint Teller and TouchPoint Sales and Service as we conducted functional, integration, and regression testing. (position 2) Main responsibility is to develop and run automation scripts against front-end banking applications. Additional responsibilities include conducting functional, integration, and regression testing, generate test plans, test reports, test cases, test steps (procedures), reference guides, defect grooming (generating, troubleshooting, tracking, and validating). Also develop processes to ensure consistency and accuracy across teams. Trained team members. For both positions, acted as a middle-man between different departments and the testing department. Coordinated test efforts, to include prioritizing and scheduling testing, assigning work, allocating testing resources, tracking teams progress, and evaluating various testing tools.

Conducted functional, integration, and regression testing against a multitude of installed applications. Lead compliance team in testing processes, procedures, and reporting to insure deadlines are met. Hold peer reviews with team members, functional testers, engineers, and developers to discuss test results, observed problems, find possible resolutions, trouble reports, and other related topics. Prepare handouts and create reports of test results. As new projects arrive, create documentation, outlines, tables and charts to help guide/give direction to team members. Train new testers.
