Responsible for all revenue generation, learning & development, business development and provision of legal services across the Personal Injury Law practices in those States (including Medical Law, Public Liability, Worker’s Compensation, Motor Vehicle Accidents, Asbestos, Superannuation & Disability Insurance). Reported to the CEO.

P&L accountability for the largest business unit (Victoria) in the company during a period of significant change. Led over 100 lawyers (>300 staff) across a disperse CBD, suburban & regional footprint. Responsible for learning & development, business development and provision of legal services across high performing Victorian Personal Injury teams (Medical Law, Public Liability, Worker’s Compensation, Motor Vehicle Accidents, Asbestos, Superannuation & Disability Insurance)

P&L accountability for the Victorian Civil Liability business including Public Liability, Medical Law & Disability Insurance teams. Implemented the Civil Liability growth strategy including regionalisation to achieve improved client outcomes and strong year on year organic revenue growth. Played a leading role within the Law Institute of Victoria Tort Reform Working Group on important Civil Liability policy and complex Government reform issues.

P&L accountability for the National Superannuation & Disability Insurance business. Led its rapid, exponential and sustained organic growth to a large scale national practice through design and implementation of an internal and external automated client triage tool, introduction of a precedent system, extensive learning & development program and reorganisation of team structures.

P&L accountability for a large office in South Eastern Melbourne. Led its rapid and sustained organic growth from viability study/inception to service delivery including strategy formulation, business development, people and technical capability and diversification of service offerings. Successfully ran varied and complex litigation on novel points of law with broad impact for Victorian motorists.

Successfully managed high volume Motor Vehicle Accident and Worker’s Compensation practices.

Managed a number of complex landmark group litigation actions including thousands of air travel deep vein thrombosis claims, co-ordination of the successful resolution of more than 200 Hepatitis A claims and the first wrongful death in detention claim against the Commonwealth and its detention centre operator.
