Honeywell in India has more than $1.0 billion domestic sales and exports, close to 15000 employees, seven manufacturing locations, five technology centers.I was Board Member of Honeywell International India, Corporate Social Responsibility Committee Member, Business Leader for India and part of Global Leadership Team for Performance Materials and Technologies - Advanced Materials Business having four Strategic Business Entities covering Indian Sub-Continent region.Successfully developed and executed Strategy achieving growth by building capabilities such as highly motivated team, Research & Development, infrastructure, to enable new product introduction and by M&A, servicing key industries such as Specialty Chemicals, Defense, Armor, Packaging, Paints & Coatings, Inks, Textiles, Cosmetics, Personal Care, Plastics, Pharmaceuticals, Rubber, Armor, Petrochemicals, Water, in line with global business strategies and local customer needs.In 10 months successfully made operational local Honeywell entity with capability to transact in INR, created Dangerous Goods handling warehouse and new ERP system working with 17 functions and stakeholders. Have been active in various industry forums like FICI, AMCHAM- including on committees led by US Embassy and presented papers in conferences organized by several Industry associations. I worked with Govt. of India entities like NITI Aayog, Department of Industrial Planning & Promotion (DIPP), Ministry of Finance and other stakeholders on projects under “ Make in India” campaign to get investment into India from Honeywell USA. I also introduced latest technologies into Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Home Affairs, Min. of Finance for specific applications and have been part of Safety & Security Committee setup by Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers.

I had P&L responsibility for a division with three business lines i.e. Engelhard Pigments & Additives, BASF Pigments & Dyes and Johnson Polymer Emulsions. Successfully turnaround the business and integrated then acquired Engelhard and Johnson Polymer Business in BASF, which had local manufacturing plant. Developed and executed growth strategy by putting in place new channel strategy, pricing structure, changed manufacturing processes, people, raw material sources etc. and introduced new products.Worked on the Science Express project undertaken by BASF to spread awareness among young children in schools about new technologies and advancements in science with labs on the train which moved across India.

I had business P&L responsibility for Organic Pigment, Pearl Pigment, Iridescent Films, Kaolin and Attapulgite Business covering Indian Subcontinent servicing industries as Paints, Inks, Personal Care, Plastics, Textiles, Paper, Wire & Cable, Precious Metal Colors etc. I also had Corporate responsibilities to setup local warehouse in India , identify M&A targets in the region and Source raw material / finished goods by identifying & developing supply partners / tollers from India / Asia for 54 plants of Engelhard spread globally.I also setup a Pigment Testing laboratory in China to do pre-shipment Quality Control testing of finished goods and raw material testing of supplies from Chinese sources. I was also responsible for the supply chain in Asia and dealt with the Ocean, Land and Air freight contracts for supplies across the globe.

I held Product Management and Marketing Manager responsibilities for the Performance Chemicals Division of VAM Organics ( now Jubliant Organosys ) which was the largest supplier of Water Based Emulsions to Paint, Textile, Adhesive, Ink industries in India. Introduced new products, expanded business overseas and executed strategies - Channel, Pricing, Promotion, by which successfully improved health of business.VAM Organics hired McKinsey & Co. to develop and execute the growth Strategy for Organization. As leader of the core group from VAM, worked closely with McKinsey & Co. team on this project to develop and implement growth strategy across the organisation, which over the period of time has changed the growth trajectory for organization in very positive way expanding the Organization activities into new additional areas like Pharmaceuticals, Agro Chemicals and global footprint with acquisitions. Developed the Biocide trading business of "Mergal" from Allied Signal as distributor in the Indian Subcontinent region.

Had responsibility for sales and business development in North India of this technology-led manufacturing-based business. Led a major turnaround in strategy on distribution channels and undertook market development for a new range of products.Introduces new Personal Care Range of Surfactants in India , Spin Finishes for Acryic/ Polyester / Viscose / Blends and started new trading operation for Sulphur Dyes. Developed and executed new Channel Strategy and built Sales team, Setup local warehouse with all infrastructure and safety norms as per ICI UK standard and guidelines to support the growth initiatives in different Industry Segments of Textile Spinning, Weaving, Processing.

I was responsible for sales and business development, Technical Services of Specialty Chemicals, Pigments, Dyes, Water Based Emulsions and Polyester Fibre . Introduced new product range of Chemicals and expanded the customer base in new application areas and geographies.

I was responsible for production in the dyeing department of this textile company processing Polyester, Cotton, Viscose and other blends for suiting and shirting cloth.
