Dinesh Rangana Gurusinghe earned his B.Sc. Eng. (Hons) degree from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, in 2003, his M.Eng. degree from the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand, in 2010, and his Ph.D. degree from the University of Manitoba, Canada, in 2017, all in Electrical Engineering. Additionally, he holds a BIT degree from the University of Colombo School of Computing, Sri Lanka, obtained in 2006, and an M.Tech degree from the Open University of Sri Lanka, awarded in 2010. During his graduate studies, he was honoured with several prestigious academic awards.From 2003 to 2008, he served as an Electrical Engineer at Cruickshanks (now Balfour Beatty Engineering Services) Ceylon Ltd., Sri Lanka, and the Ceylon Electricity Board, Sri Lanka. Since 2015, he has been with RTDS Technologies Inc., Canada, where he currently holds the position of Manager - Protection & Automation.Dr. Gurusinghe is a Chartered Engineer with the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL), a Registered Engineering Practitioner with the Engineering Council, Sri Lanka (ECSL), a Registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Manitoba, Canada, and a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), USA. He actively contributes to the IEEE Power & Energy Society's (PES) Power System Relaying and Control (PSRC) Committee.
