I am Dinesh Acharya V, Founder & CEO of Fisto Sports Pvt Ltd (www.fistosports.com).One of the Directors of Baton Sports LLP.A passionate entrepreneur who believes in promoting the young kohinoors of Indian Sports and aspires to become a media mogul. An ardent sports aficionado who fell madly in love with sports at a very young age, thanks to Baldwin Boys High School, a residential school in Bengaluru.Not born-gifted and not among the best but loved competing and had participated in a variety of tournaments from Athletics to Football, Hockey to Basketball during my time at school and College. My intent of pursuing a professional career in sports was cut short due to an injury but the love for sports remained completely intact.I love sports for everything they have taught me about teamwork, leadership, community, hard work, the pursuit of excellence and achieving goals. All of these positive skills helped me to make sports not only a passion but a career. Having graduated in Bachelors of Commerce from Hindustan University, Chennai before completing my Master in Business Administration from IIPM, Bangalore, I started off working at a Sports Management firm in Bangalore before quitting to start my own business venture.Everyone talks about ’catching them young’, but once they have been selected there is no mention about them until they achieve something at the national or international level. I wanted to change the narrative in the media.So in 2016, I joined hands with my roommate & a friend Sabari from college to start – Fisto Sports Pvt Ltd – a digital platform where not only sports fans but even a normal citizen is informed and updated about school and college sports and its athletes.At Fisto Sports, we celebrate tomorrow sporting talents from Schools and Colleges across the country and covering young prospects extensively who can go on to become superlative athletes in the future.While in the beginning, I was associated with sports as a sport, today it is not just a sport; it is a valuable chapter in my book of life. During this journey, we have been blessed to work with some of the big names in the sports industry like Rugby India, The Special Olympics, Ballebazzi, Decathlon, Sethu FC, Unimatec (Germany), Redbull and so on.We have associated with over 300+ Colleges and featured over 1200+ athletes across India on www.fistosports.com.
