Worked on creating models and drafting drawings as per ASME Y14.5 standards using Autodesk Inventor for the new low flow valve assembly. Also, was involved in developing good modeling practices and correcting existing models to ensure quality of structured product.

Worked on developing fabrication and permit drawings for the different types of signs using Solidworks. Also, was extensively involved in various design and fabrication processes of the company to identify and develop methods to improve the workflow between the design and fabrication department.

Major projects include working on the pitch system and the LED light system to be utilized in the safety labs. Worked closely with the design team and controls team to understand the working and operation of Servosled system, Pitch system and a Barrier drive system.

Focused on designing a surface valve with flow meter assembly. Working on performing stress and life cycle analysis on the various parts of the assembly to obtain the best possible design. Also working on prototyping the designed product using a Leapfrog 3D printer.

Teaching assistant to Professor I.Y.Shen for Kinematics and Dynamics class and to Professor Vipin Kumar for Manufacturing Technology class. Duties include having to take class for 2 hours every week, writing answers to all home work questions being assigned to the students, along with having office hours to clear the doubts of the students on the subject matter. This experience has given me a better understanding in the subject matter and also helped me to improve myself in conveying my point to the audience in a much better way.

CEG Tech Forum (CTF) is an umbrella society responsible for guiding nascent freshers and promising potential engineers with respect to their area of interest and projects. CTF provides a platform for budding engineers to learn and showcase their technical skills.It also functions as the central policy making body for the Kurukshetra, the flagship event of the CTF. The organization also conducts the annual TEDx conference (TEDxCEG) and various events throughout the year for College of Engineering, Guindy students. I along with 4 colleagues coordinated all 36 events that took place in Kurukshetra, an International Techno-Management fest, by leading a team of 100 students. My responsibilities also include coordinating with other 15 teams and ensure the success of the 3 day technical extravaganza. I was also involved in the organizing of many other events conducted by the CTF team for the students of CEG.

Worked in the cylinder head department of the Company. The primary focus was on performance calculation in engine head assembly line which uses 90% automated robotic hands, understand the working of the CMM machine and its significance and report creation from the CMM data to be used engine head assembly line and understanding concepts such as calculation of cp, cpk and significance of CAD diagrams in the development of an engine head. I was also made aware of the operation of an Automobile industry in detail.

Focus on Manufacturing & Design of Diff. parts of High Pressure Boiler Plant.(Super Heater, Re-heater, Economizer, Water wall Panel, System Bender Machine, Radiographic Testing of MIG Welded Tubes) Process such as Heat Treatment, Hydro-testing & Painting & Inspection of Pressure Parts.

Gained knowledge on the operation of Engine Plant & Assembly using 90% Robotic Automation, TCF (Trim Chassis Final) Assembly, Body & Paint Shop for Ford Figo, Fiesta (Sigma & DV Engines)Understanding concepts such as Assembly Line Production, Lean Manufacturing (BTO), JIT.
