My research and teaching interests are in the areas of Retailing, Pricing, Branding, Marketing Analytics, Store Performance, Shopper Marketing, E-Commerce and Revenue Management. My research has been published in journals such as Journal of Marketing, Marketing Science, Journal of Consumer Research. Journal of Marketing Research and Journal of Retailing.Recipient of the Walton College Excellence in Research Award (2018-19), Whitman Research Fellow (2013-14), Whitman Teaching Innovation Award (2012), Guttag Junior Faculty Award (2010-2011). Also received the 2012 Davidson Award for the Best Article published in Journal of Retailing in 2010 and an Honorable Mention Award in 2010 for the Best Article published in Journal of Retailing in 2008. Recognized as a Thought Leader in Retailing. Ranked third in the world in the Retailing journal influence index. Received the best doctoral dissertation proposal award from the Fordham University Pricing Center in 2006 and an honorable mention award for the Levy and Weitz doctoral dissertation proposal competition sponsored by the AMA Retailing SIG and the Miller Center for Retailing at University of Florida in 2005. Served as co-chair of the Retailing and Pricing Track for the American Marketing Association (AMA) Summer Educators' Conference (August 2010) held in Boston, MA. Co-chair of session on Quantitative Research on Retailing & Pricing for the Summer Educators' American Marketing Association's (AMA) Conference held in Chicago in 2009 and 2012. Serving as an Associate Editor of Retailing Area at Journal of Business Research and serving on editorial review board of the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Retailing and Journal of Academy of Marketing Science.Cited in various media outlets including the Wall Street Journal, Post Standard, San Francisco Chronicle and National Public Radio.Specialties: Retailing, Grocery Research, Pricing, Promotions, Data Analytics, Store Performance and Online-store loyalty issues.
