I am visual journalist. Been a hands-on photo editor, photographer, leading teams of photographers working with me at some of India's leading newsrooms, including Hindustan Times, Forbes India, and Businessworld, and currently with The Hindu. I have more than 18 years of experience in directing diverse range of assignments, many of which lay at the intersection of politics and society; business and society in India and overseas. Defined shoots that documented the lives of people in three of India's biggest metropolises: some of whom live on the fringes of the society while others define it. As Editor of Better Photography, led a young team of enthusiastic writers and photographers in turning around the country's premier photography magazine and making it the number one photography magazine in the country. In my previous assignments, particularly at Forbes India, and before that at Better Photography, I have been involved in the whole creative process—from concept to final production—and revelled in that experience. I have a strong work ethic and demand the best from any team I work with. As a photographer, I believe that every situation reveals much more than is obvious, as long as you know how to look for it. That approach has held me in good stead in more than just taking photographs.
