My research approach involves interdisciplinary collaboration with experts from diverse fields to develop innovative and practical solutions for complex global health challenges. I possess extensive knowledge and experience in preventing and controlling non-communicable diseases (NCDs) through epidemiological, interventional, and translational research. Through my work, I am dedicated to addressing health disparities, improving healthcare delivery, and advancing global health outcomes. I am actively involving in community-based programs for health improvement in low- and middle-income settings. I founded the community-based management of non-communicable diseases (COBIN) cohort in Nepal, which stands out as one of the few initiatives studying NCDs in low-income settings. I am also the founding chairperson of Nepal based NGO called Nepal Development Society. Additionally, I have been actively engaged in research related to climate change, occupational health and safety, and migrant workers. By exploring the intersection of these areas with health, I aim to understand and address the unique challenges faced by vulnerable populations, thereby contributing to their well-being and overall health.As a core member of the Resolve to Save Lives team at Johns Hopkins, I provide project management and scientific support for global hypertension control and sodium reduction activities. I am also making contributions to the Lancet Commission on Hypertension Group. Moreover, I am a fellow of the International Society of Hypertension (ISH) and serve as a member of the South and Central Asia Advisory Group, as well as the country coordinator of May Measure Month in Nepal. Education is another aspect of my work that I deeply value. I am teaching and supervising students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in various environments. I enjoy mentoring early-career researchers, particularly those driven by a strong ambition to make a meaningful impact on marginalized, vulnerable, and hard-to-reach communities.
