Hi guys! My name is Abdullah and I'm a penetration testing maniac turned software engineer. As a kid, I was enticed by the world of ethical hacking like any kid would be when they are 12 years old. All those movies and articles glorified the world of hackers and how cool they are. That passion actually helped me choose cyber security as a major for my bachelor's degree. However, with all the cyber security related courses and some internship experience with penetration testing throughout those 4 years, I realised that hacking isn't actually all fun and games. It can get boring at times and it requires a lot of patience. Of course, it's still fun for some people, but it doesn't suit my nature. When I realised this, instead of going into depression, I started to look for other career paths that suit me better and that's when Folio3 hired me as a trainee software engineer as part of their Career Launch program! About a month into that, I realised that was it! That was my calling! So, long story short, I'm working on Python and Go as a software engineer, at Emumba!
