This was an amazing experience which helped me gain exposure to multiple domains within the cyber security umbrella including Digital Forensics and Vulnerability Assessment. Not only did I learn to use existing tools but I also got the chance to be part of something greater- creating tools that help other cyber security professionals. The development-oriented nature of this internship helped me improve my research skills, practical experience and programming. I couldn't have asked for a better learning environment and I'm grateful to all my mentors for believing in my ability to do actual work instead of simple tasks.

The subject for this experience was Computer Organization and Assembly Language. This was a very hectic experience along-with the struggles of university life. However, it helped me further strengthen my assembly language skills and knowledge of computer architecture.

This was my first ever professional experience related to cyber security. I am extremely grateful for this opportunity as it helped me get a firm grasp on many of the important aspects of information security, network security and professional practices for a secure workplace. This experience has also made confident about SIEM and how it is used in an organization's security system. All this is related to blue-teaming. However, a good attacker's strength is knowing their enemy.

This was a different role from my field. However, I still got to learn more about IT in some way. We were given a project to assemble line-following and battle robots for an upcoming national event that the company had. It was a fun experience because we got to tinker with electronics and most importantly Arduino. This also gave me a chance to program a few robots, which gave me a head start in Embedded Systems Programming. Even though I was a robotics intern, the experience with Embedded Systems and Arduino did help me in my path to Cyber Security. I used to think that cyber-security is all about hacking and software-based penetration and defense. However, with this experience and some research, I realized that hardware plays a very important role in the field of cyber-security and that hardware flaws and bugs can be more disruptive and destructive to organizations and their sensitive data. Therefore, I feel like this experience was beneficial for me and, in no way, a waste.

I applied for this internship during my A' Levels to gain exposure about how corporate agencies work and deal with everyday tasks. This was not even remotely related to my field. However, it helped me enhance my technical skills and came with a bonus of learning a new skill- Graphic Design. I really enjoyed this experience as my colleagues were super helpful and friendly. During my first week, one of them dedicated their hours and support to help me learn Adobe Illustrator and designing professional posters and flyers for organizations. Since Channel 7 is an advertising agency, I got to know about the more trending techniques of making content stand out. After working for the Design Team for 2 weeks, I was shifted to the Creative Team where I got to learn even more. Writing blogs and designing creative social media posts was only half of what I learnt and applied there.Even though this internship wasn't related to IT or Cyber Security in any way, It was probably the most enjoyable work experience I got.
