I freelance as a photographer and feature writer for both online and print mediums. Being an avid rock climber, mountain biker and parkourist, my prime focus area has been the field of extreme sports photography, in which I have contributed regularly to Urban Crag Climbing Centre, Locally Whipped magazine and MrSpencer.co.za to name but a few forums. After completing an apprenticeship in optics, I was employed in the arms industry, which is where working in imaging, my photographic skill was developed and nurtured, specifically by Wes Lindenberg in the Flight Test division. With the latter part period being contract work, the past 12 years of experience have helped me develop a strong work ethic and analytical skills, which in turn enable me to work at a higher level on more challenging briefs with higher profile and diverse clients. Most recently I have branched off into more mainstream topics, such as architectural, product, stock and studio photography with a keen interest in fashion, portraiture and styled shoots.

Originally started out as a contributor on visual and copy content which led to a full time role as an Associate and Deputy Editor. The role managed gear and relevant content material for both print and online editorial portfolios. Gear required research, testing (where required) photography and copy. Online content was proofed, subbed and managed through a CMS on the website, aligned with social channels. Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, within my role these channels were setup and managed.Responsibilities extended to managing and creating related feature content material.
