I have nearly two decades of journalism experience including editing and reporting on film, TV and pop culture. Have a proven track record of feature writing, breaking news reporting, and interviews with a current focus on inclusion, representation and diversity in TV and film. Have experience in transmedia reporting including print, digital, video and podcasting. Looking to provide a voice and expertise when it comes to taking action and advocating for diversity in entertainment and the impact resulting from it. Based in Los Angeles, I also cover events and awards shows such as the Oscars, Emmys, Comic-Con and the TCA press tour. Additionally, I help produce and co-host the New Hollywood Podcast, which champions people of color, women, members of the LGBTQ community and other underrepresented voices in film and television. A Texas native, I worked as film and TV reporter for the Oakland Tribune and San Francisco Chronicle before moving to Los Angeles. Prior to Deadline, I was chief film critic at the Tracking Board and has written for Vogue, Entertainment Tonight, Bustle, Paste Magazine, Queerty and NBC Asian America.
