Diogo Bhovan has been an entrepreneur since his youth. He started developing websites and applications for small projects, NGOs and companies. He worked at Instituto Pedro Nunes, where he first came into contact with the world of startups. At the age of 16, he led an NGO with social impact projects in Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti and Portugal.He graduated in Computer Engineering at the University of Coimbra. He was one of the leaders of the UC Debate Society and the main promoter and organizer of the first editions of the National Competitive Debate Meetings in Portugal.At 19 he co-founded his first technology company at 24 his second – a studio dedicated to the creation and development of startups and innovation projects. Since then, he has been involved in the creation of 5 other companies.He was organizer, mentor and jury member in several entrepreneurial competitions and acceleration programs, as well as main mentor in Acredita Portugal – one of the largest entrepreneurial competitions in the world. In total, he has directly supported more than 1,500 entrepreneurs.In 2022, he decided to step down as CEO of his Startup Studio and sold his shares in the company. He accepted the challenge to become Chief People Officer at Bloq.it, which was considered one of the fastest growing startups in the world and whose product development began in Diogo's Startup Studio.Currently, he is dedicated to co-creating new businesses as a serial entrepreneur and teaches entrepreneurship and innovation as a speaker at events and as a professor at the University of Coimbra. He also acts as a consultant, advisor and investor for innovative companies to take them to the next levels.
