Technical leadership for all networking-related topics on greenfield projects for warehouses/fulfillment centers, including (but not limited to):- Working with construction teams for early definitions of location and physical design of server rooms, fiber and copper cabling design, network cabinets distribution, and WiFi planning;- Defining requirements for ISP to grant physically and logically highly available WAN infrastructure;- Coordination and validation of physical network infrastructure deployments (cabling, cabinet installation...)- Deployment of WAN, LAN, and WLAN solutions;- Providing network infrastructure for the connectivity between on-premises and cloud infrastructures;

• Design, plan, implement and support network data communications systems in a high-available multi-vendor environment, using a wide variety of technologies (MLAG, Stacking, OSPF, BGP, MP-BGP...);• Responsible for designing, implementing and documenting large scale networks for Zalando’s Warehouses including LAN (Juniper EX, QFX, and HP switches), WAN, WLAN (HP Aruba) and network security (Juniper SRX firewalls) devices;• Assisting the development of policies, processes, and procedures for the Infrastructure operations teams;• Experimenting programming languages (Python), automation tools (Ansible) and exploring DevOps methodologies;

Main duties and responsibilities were:• Act as a technical advisor supporting customers’ IT departments to map technical requirements and definitions for the design of WAN connectivity for remote branches and offices;• Provide customers with technical consultation to identify risks, suggest improvements and manage physical and logical changes on network (WAN and LAN) environments;• Produce detailed customer-specific physical and logical network designs, device configuration specifications and documentation, including solution description and network design diagrams;• Work on the implementation of large-scale WAN (MPLS) and LAN for customers/companies based around world;• Supervise and coordinate field technicians during the installation of routers, modems, CSU / DSU and switches on client sites in North and Latin America;• Manage router/switch changes while working with all routing protocols in various customer scenarios around the world.
