Performing all or some of the following duties in all roles with varying levels of responsibility:• Overseeing daily operations with meticulous attention to detail• Assuming the position of Platoon Commander in their absence• Supervising, coaching, training, motivating and mentoring personnel, setting clear goals and expectations, providing relevant feedback and discipline as required• Establishing, implementing and overseeing effective systems, processes and controls• Liaising with patients and people in danger; building strong working relationships and effective communication channels with key stakeholders• Responding to fires, rescues and related emergencies including industrial accidents and bomb threats • Rescuing victims from burning buildings and accident sites• Responding to hazardous material incidents to mitigate potential harm to the community and environment• Carrying out emergency operations, rendering first aid and resuscitating injured parties • Operating and maintaining fire equipment• Undertaking protection duties in situations that potentially threaten lives or property • Participating in training drills, simulation exercises and physical fitness activities• Participating in public fire and life safety education and awareness training through public demonstrations and community visits• Resolving complaints and enquiries• Data entry and database management, maintaining meticulous records• Producing various rosters, records, occurrences, reports, presentations, analyses, correspondence and other documentation • Participating in departmental health and safety committee meetings• Performing as a strong leader of a cohesive team with strict enforcement of health, safety and statutory regulations, quality standards, governance processes and compliance requirements• Conducting health and safety inspections
