Acheson Alberta

I accepted the role of Hydraulics Supervisor in March 2020. At that time I supervised the move of branch 135 Hydraulic department to join our Acheson facility. I was responsible for implementing new policies and procedures to the new staff that was transitioned over to Acheson. On a daily basis I am responsible for weekly outputs and ensure targets, FRV’s and production numbers are met. In Hydraulics we rebuild many product lines. Under our exchange program we rebuild KMG cylinders, and various components from our 730, 830, 930 and 980 truck fleets. I have also taken on assignments to assist in the Reman Support Services department. I have assisted in welding, machinery and QC department supervision, also ensuring they meet there daily, weekly production requirements and also ensuring to meet FRV’s.

Acheson Alberta

In September of 2010, I was given an opportunity to gain more experience on Komatsu equipment and move from the welding department into a Foremans position in the Mechanical Reman department. We handle rebuilds on all major components from our mining division fleets as well as any other components our customers send us to have rebuilt. We work regularly on Front Corner Groups, Rear Suspensions, Rear Axles, etc. I also oversee the day to day operations of our Hydraulic shop that we have on site. In this area we work on brakes, pumps, motors, steering cylinders, etc.

Acheson Alberta

Started with SMS Acheson welding department as a welder in September 2007. By November of that year I was promoted to leadhand and early in 2008 was promoted to charge hand. I assisted in the day to day operations of the welding department and provided supervision/support to the on shift welders. I also provided coverage for my foreman in his absense. We performed weld repairs to various sizes of shovel buckets, dragline work, and haul truck boxes. We also fabricated truck boxes from flat packages to complete Haul truck boxes.

Fort Mcmurray Alberta

I started out at Suncor being an on shift welder for MEM. Provided repairs to Haul trucks as required and assisting mechanics as required. I moved on to become a member of the box rebuild crew that performed major rebuilds and also provided other departments with assistance as required. I progressed in the department and recieved training to become an upgrade shift supervisor. I would fill in for my supervisor in his absense and assign jobs as required.

Fort Mcmurray Alberta

I received an apprenticeship at SMS Fort McMurray and was successfully in obtaining my journey-person status and red seal. We handled all welding repairs on Komatsu equipment on various job sites. I also was apart of the box assembly crew that built truck boxes from flat packs.
