I completed a four year Baccalaureus Commercii Rationum degree within three years cum laude in 1996, majoring in accounting and law where I was consistently the top student in both the legal and commerce faculties. After completing my Honours in Accounting, cum laude, I gained my chartered accountant qualification at Deloitte. Within my six years at Deloitte, I ran multiple audits across a variety of industries, established a computer auditing team and obtained certification in the SAP ERP system.In 2003 I joined Bel Essex in charge of group operations for eight companies engaged in automotive component manufacturing. I joined Investec in 2004 and after a number of years structuring lending deals for the acquisition of businesses and properties, I became the Regional Head of Investec Private Bank for the Eastern Cape. During my time at Investec in Port Elizabeth, I was responsible for exceptional bottom line growth within the business.I moved to Cape Town as Regional Head of the Western Cape for Investec Private Bank in 2011 where I was responsible for building a new leadership team and restructuring the business post the financial crisis. I completed the Program for Leadership Development at Harvard Business School in January 2013. In 2013 I founded Strategic Growth & Investment. The company invests in owner managed businesses, developing & implementing strategy and arranging capital. Strategic Growth & Investment aspires to create exponential growth and enable social impact. It has a focus on financial services and retail in Southern Africa and application of artificial intelligence in NLP.
