Zonder IT achtergrond opgeleid worden tot IT Professional? Calco leidt talentvolle starters in twee jaar tijd op tot dé IT’ers van de toekomst. De Calco MasterClass begint met een opleidingsperiode van twee maanden waarin je wordt klaargestoomd voor je eerste stappen in de IT. Dit begint met een Crash Course van twee weken waarbij alle facetten van een DevOps team voorbij komen. Denk hierbij aan requirement analyses, programmeren & coderen, testen, infrastructuur en beheer. Daarnaast behaal je de certificaten Professional Scrummaster 1, Azure Fundamentals en SQL Foundation. Hierna heb je zelf de keuze uit een aantal Deep Dives om je kennis te verbreden. Ik koos voor een Deep Dive Java. Niet alleen IT kennis staat centraal tijdens de opleidingsperiode; ook werk je continu aan je persoonlijke ontwikkeling. Na deze opleidingsperiode ga je op inzet bij één van de opdrachtgevers van Calco. Je krijgt een persoonlijke fieldmanager en je krijgt alle tools aangereikt om je continu te blijven ontwikkelen.

My first position as a professional Full-Stack DevOps Engineer and a big step in my envisioned career path! Learning new skills daily through tasks and plenty of space for personal development, all while working with many skilled people on projects that advisors and clients actually benefit from is a great motivator. There are many opportunities and challenges to dive into and I can't wait to see where they'll take me!

I got hooked on programming during the early years of my childhood, writing my first Batch script at age 7. Programming never left my field of interest! Through the years I've touched many assemblies and libraries in various degree of depth. Even when gaming I was programming, working on mods or even programming inside the game itself to create amazing contraptions and systems. Most of my hard-skills have been developed in the last 20 years on my own, through following tutorials, reading documentations, practicing on CodeWars and LeetCode and working on my own projects. Recently I've decided to say goodbye to the physically challenging jobs I've been doing for the past 10 years to pursue a career in a field that really energises me and keeps challenging me to improve myself.
