This was a voluntary position on my behalf where I learnt many new skills, was exposed to progressive ideas and as a board we built ACMI from an idea to a Victorian icon and national tourist destination. I also held the role as chair of the Marketing Committee to which I gave time and intellectual collateral, which was a very enriching experience. I still remain a member of the Marketing Committee. Ordinarily a board position of this nature has a prescribed term of three years, I was invited to extend my term by a further six years to a total of 9 years (maximum quota per the Film Act of Victoria) that I accepted with gratitude. -
