Recruited to design curriculum for U.S. Department of Education’s Ready to Learn grant recipient. Desired to enrich my knowledge of the landscape of children’s media and strengthened my writing skills.Invited to join renowned team to harness child development knowledge and therapeutic background to write innovative and informative reviews of children’s picture books and animated series. Media reviewed is often created by diverse writers and artists, featuring diverse characters.- Question stereotypes, tropes, and areas of representation when critically engaging with and critiquing media. - Write creative reviews that speak to the authentic, inclusive, and diverse qualities of the identified media. - Promote accessibility of the platform for end users, with an aim to increase engagement and improve the milieu of media and technology for children & families.

Serve as a valuable resource to teams for projects in development and in production. Provide expertise in production, child development research, education, and DEI. Execute work on a contract basis, per project. - Conceptualize character development and design, for preschool social emotional learning shows, games, toys, and podcasts for companies including, 9 Story Media Group, Pinna, PBS Kids, Spin Master, FableVision, & ZeptoLab.- Create presentations for research and writing teams, to provide psychoeducation about diverse learning styles.- Provide comprehensive creative feedback, using clear communication strategies, while reviewing scripts and other media to ensure fidelity to curriculum, diversity goals, and mission of the show; ensuring feedback is appropriate based on the current stage of development and audience.

Originally hired during the advanced year of my MSW program to work as a Clinical Intern at Penn Medicine’s Hall-Mercer Community Mental Health Center. Promoted from Clinician to Psychotherapist within a year of hiring and promoted Early Childhood Program Coordinator six months later. Pioneered the creation of the Early Childhood Program, a therapeutic preschool for children with Autism or early childhood trauma.- Created child-led therapeutic preschool that employed a Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Intervention.- Managed a team of seven clinicians and instructors to maintain the program’s integrity.- Established Core Commitments of promoting life skills, autonomous learning, community, and diversity & inclusion.- Prescribed Play Therapy, Primary Child-Adult Relationship Enchantment Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy treatments to 3 to 8-year-old clients.

Sought exposure to direct clinical practice with children and families. Started as a summer intern and was asked to return during winter and spring break of my senior year of undergraduate studies. I was integrated into the clinical, Sanctuary Model practices on campus and interacted with children in the outpatient day school, inpatient hospital and residential program. This experience allowed me to elevate my clinical writing skills and discern level of care for various presenting needs.- Observed individual and group therapy sessions for children and adolescents with depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder diagnoses.- Assisted child psychiatrists, therapists, and educators to form individual treatment plans for clients.- Effectively communicated with families to coordinate therapeutic visits and mental-health evaluation meetings.
