- Support the development of a healthier information ecosystem, where a steady flow of trusted and engaging public interest media reaches and engages audiences across Pacific Islands Countries. I started working in Solomon Islands in September 2023 and from July 2024 it has been expanded to six pacific countries Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga and Vanuatu. - Working with project partners to arrange workshops, trainings, and events focused on media development and the enhancement of journalism and media management skills.- Responsible for the overall management and delivery of BBC Media Action projects in Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga and Vanuatu; anchored around a core strand of media development programming.- Serve as the lead trainer for production and editorial aspects of journalism across various platforms, including radio, television, print, and social media.

Solomon Islands

- Provide agile and accessible support, advice and guidance to production teams in BBC Media Action country offices, in order to build their abilities across the full range of editorial and production skills- Provide technical support to the development and delivery of specific projects – including designing and facilitating training workshops and creative brainstorming to design multimedia outputs.- Work closely with producers, researchers and project delivery teams to enable them to create outputs for a wide range of media platforms including radio, TV and social media. - Design and deliver trainings BBC Media Action staffs and media partners, sharing knowledge and promoting best practice and keeping teams informed of digital and other media trends.- Support project teams to design and implement training, mentoring and other interventions (including digital transformation interventions) for their media partners- Provide advice and guidance to production teams on safeguarding matters related to contributors, consent and other production-related areas.

Myanmar

Leading a TV and digital production team in Myanmar which produce Khan Sar Kyi 'FEEL IT' - programme aiming to tackle the issues of peace, conflict and identity in Myanmar. It reflects the need to go beyond a rote understanding of ethnicity and conflict in this complex and vibrant country and to provide audiences with a real taste of the challenges, hopes and current day reality of Myanmar’s diverse communities. While Myanmar is a country with unique ethnic, cultural and religious diversity, armed conflict and complex political divisions remain a challenge to the country’s peaceful, democratic reform. While a national level peace process is currently underway between the government, the military and ethnic armed groups, audiences across the country often have limited access to information or understanding of the issues facing many conflict-affected communities. This is further challenged by the multiple different languages, ethnicities, religions and cultures within Myanmar, and the large geographical distances from the southern coastal communities, the mountainous north and the dry central plains. Khan Sar Kyi aims to bring these diverse perspectives and experiences together so that audiences have an opportunity to meet, share, understand and to feel their differences and similarities in a journey towards greater understanding and peaceful co-existence.Khan Sar Kyi uses three innovative formats – the Khan Sar Kyi Journeys – documentaries featuring different characters and regions in the country; the Khan Sar Kyi Discussions – expert guests join us for challenging conversations and questions from live audiences from different regions; and Khan Sar Kyi Digital – innovative, informative and entertaining content on peace, conflict and diversity for digital audiences.

Nepal

Lead the team of Sajha Sawal. Sajha Sawal is a weekly discussion programme broadcast across Nepal on radio and TV. It is one of the most popular current affairs programme in Nepal with almost every one-in-three in Nepal being exposed to the programme. Broadcast at prime time on Sunday evenings, it aims to give all sections of Nepalese society, particularly marginalised and traditionally excluded groups, the chance to question their leaders – and each other. Each week, a panel of politicians, bureaucrats, experts and community leaders are asked questions by a studio audience which includes people, such as women and Dalits, whose voices are often missing from public discussion and debate.
