Dipayan is an experienced commercial attorney holding a license to practice law in India. He brings in vast experience working as a corporate counsel, advising clients in the technology, SaaS, IT, ITES and Media space as well as handling corporate advisory matters. Dipayan has experience working on various types of transactions in the technology space. Within the media and entertainment space, Dipayan has worked with various broadcasting and other new media companies and DTH platforms. He has a keen interest in the emerging areas of law such as data privacy and fintech regulations. As an in-house counsel, Dipayan has worked closely with multiple business stakeholders, including the leadership team, advising them on day-to-day legal matters, including varied forms of commercial contracts and documentation pertinent to the businesses, legal and regulatory compliance, and employment law matters. Dipayan has spent his career both as an in-house legal counsel working for large multi-national companies and top Indian conglomerates, as well as with some of the top Indian law firms.Dipayan advises several clients in the technology intrinsic businesses, many of them being early and mid-stage startups in the Edu-tech, Fin-tech, Ad-tech and Health-tech sectors, including managing the overall legal functions for some of these clients as well as managing specific transactions for his clients. Dipayan understands the technology-related businesses at a comprehensive level and his approach to advising clients has always been tuned to achieve a result wherein his clients are able to meet their business targets while being in compliance with law and the regulatory ecosystem.
