As a pharmacy technician I rang customers up at the register and needed to obtain specific information such as, first and last name, address, and date of birth. I asked the customer if they had any questions about the current medication being dispensed and if so I educated them on their new or existing prescription or I directed them to the pharmacist. I also filled prescriptions and that consisted of counting medications to the exact quantity and preparing them for the pharmacist to check. While preparing medications I also answered the phone at CVS and helped the customer to the best of my ability. I also interpreted and typed prescriptions sent to the pharmacy so they were ready for the patient to pick up. My main job overall was to give great customer service.

As a Scribe I needed to know where important equipment such as the code cart were in the hospital. I learned about blood tests, urinalysis, and x-rays.
