Future healthcare leader and lifelong healthcare advocate. I am a recent graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas having completed a B.S. in Healthcare Studies and a minor in Business Administration. My passions include research and mentoring, and I hope to continue these throughout my career as a leader in healthcare as well.I consider myself to be a lifelong learner and I enjoy learning about all aspects of medicine and healthcare including pathology, patient care and issues in patient education. My degree program has allowed me to gain an interdisciplinary view of healthcare and has given me the skills to bridge the gap between medicine and the humanities that is otherwise rapidly increasing. My various community efforts are aimed at increasing health literacy and emphasizing the importance of preventative care for both mental and physical health. I believe that educating others on their capability to protect their health and wellness can be life changing for all age groups and should be continuously advocated for. My strengths include my strong work ethic, public speaking and critical thinking skills, and adaptability. My personal and professional experiences have refined my ability to excel both as a part of a team and individually as well. I am also an active listener and effective communicator. Aside from academics I enjoy dancing, traveling, baking, and exploring new places to eat! I am beyond excited to be a part of the 2022 graduating class of the University of Texas at Dallas and pursue my career in healthcare!
