Dipika Matthias Email and Phone Number
I’m passionate about the intersection of global health, nutrition, and business, particularly on how we can best harness the strengths of the private sector to advance R&D, new models for business and market development, and delivery interventions to solve some of the world’s greatest challenges. It follows that my career has focused on product innovation, public-private partnerships, and multisectoral alliances that bring together NGOs, governments, the private sector, and funders to leverage their respective strengths in advancing the cause. Over my 20+ years in global health and nutrition, I have learned that orchestration across the sectors is required for collective impact, as is a market-focused orientation to ensure sustainability for the private sector involved. I have worked on identifying unmet needs, prioritizing innovations, and managing interdisciplinary teams to advance such innovations. I have also held leadership roles across the public and private sectors and worked across multiple technology domains to improve maternal and child health and nutrition. With a wide range of successes and experiences in my stewardship of programs, I have launched new models and ways of doing business, bringing a creative energy to my work. I have also taken the time to reflect on lessons learned to advance the dialogue on how to enhance our impact. To this end, I have publications on various global health topics, such as strengthening food fortification markets to improve iron-deficiency anemia, lessons learned in developing local markets for maternal and child health technologies, and the cost-effectiveness of introducing immunization-related innovations into health systems.
