Dippankar is a passionate intrapreneur turned entrepreneur who has launched and scaled a number of high-growth start up businesses. He founded and manages Jalongi.com, a specialist online fish and seafood retailer currently servicing Kolkata, Howrah, Mumbai, Gurgaon and Delhi. He also founded ALLDOX (www.alldox.com), the specialist document management tool for regular people with million plus global downloads.Prior to Jalongi.com and ALLDOX, he was heading e-commerce set-up for Bharti-Walmart , Retail JV between Bharti Enterprises & Wal-Mart. For the same venture he also set up and grown the supermarket business (EasyDay) from ground to a over 100 store chain (Annual run rate of US $ 100 Mn+). He came to Bharti from Wadhwan Retail (a DHFL group venture) where he was the founder CEO of Spinach Supermarkets a national chain with INR 200 Crore ARR, including acquisition of Sangam Direct (from Unilever), Sab Ka Bazar (North) and Smart Retail (Bangalore).He has over 30 years of corporate experience spanning across a variety of industries including Consumer packaged goods, Telecom and Retail. Dippankar was part of the start up team with a Mobile Phone Operator who brought Mobile telephony to India in 1995-96.Dippankar holds a degree in Civil Engineering from NIT, Nagpur, India and MBA in Marketing, Business Policy & Entrepreneurship from IIM, Ahmedabad, India. Despite his busy schedule at work, Dippankar enjoys spending time with his family, painting, cooking, playing golf and writing poetry.
