About Kyle Li

Kyle Li is an interaction and learning designer based in New York City. His body of work and research wraps around playful learning experiences manifested by interconnected physical and digital components. In 2008, he helped build the world’s first public school (6th to 12th grade) in NYC that was entirely redesigned with game design and media learning theories in mind. Kyle worked there for six-year designing and developing game-like learning experiences with teachers, designers, learning experts, and assessment researchers. It was a life-changing experience for him to work with some of the greatest minds in game and learning during that time. He later led a small team and won the Best in Class: Innovation award and People’s Choice award at E3 from HASTAC and the White House for their work on video game-based learning.
