I had the honour of being part of the faculty at Delyork Creative Academy 2024 Cohorts as the Cinematography Instructor, where I led hands-on cinematography classes and practical sessions.Throughout the journey, I trained and mentored a diverse group of students, ranging from aspiring filmmakers to industry professionals, covering the fundamentals of film and cinema. We explored key topics like lighting, film design, visual storytelling, and the artistry of a master filmmaker.This opportunity gave me the chance to shape the future of filmmaking teaching hands-on cinematography skills, inspiring and equipping the next wave of visual storytellers.

I led the production process for the Nigerian unit in post-producing 8 episodes of The Next Big Trender, overseeing every aspect from creative direction to visual storytelling. Working closely with a cross-functional team of talented creatives and producers, sound designers, I coordinated the entire editing workflow—transforming raw footage into captivating cuts with a compelling narrative that highlighted the lifestyle and glamour of Nigerian celebrity Precious Omoregie, a multitalented lawyer, entrepreneur, model, and creative makeup and fashion enthusiast.This season of The Next Big Trender embarked on the search for Africa’s hottest influencer, with contestants from Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda, Kenya, and South Africa competing to win the hearts of the panel of judges, as well as their online followers and TV audiences. Each episode offered a sneak peek into the contestants’ lives as they showcased their content creation skills, aiming to trend, lead, and influence social conversations.In the end, Nigerian contestant Precious Omoregie emerged as the season’s winner, beating out competitors from across Africa—a big win for my team, who delivered excellence throughout the entire production process.

As a Creative Director, I led Netflix’s global campaign in Nigeria, partnering with Clockwork South Africa to create promotional content for the Netflix Original Series "How to Ruin Christmas", featuring top comedians from various African countries. I oversaw creative concepts, ensuring brand consistency and visual excellence across all video production.I managed key aspects, including negotiations, set design, and building strong relationships with industry leaders to secure top-tier talent. I worked with cross-functional teams at Clockwork to align creative strategies with business goals and collaborated with creatives to shape the visual identity, optimizing content for digital platforms.In addition to overseeing video direction, planning, and budgeting, I brought in new talent to refresh the brand’s visuals and streamlined processes for efficiency. I created shoot briefs, shot lists, directed shoots, and managed campaign finance. I also hired and mentored a team of 8 direct reports, including production staff, ensuring smooth execution throughout the campaign.

When I joined the project, it was on the verge of failure, but I revived it through strategic creative direction, critical thinking, and by studying market trends. I assessed what would resonate with audiences and applied global standards to steer the project back on track.By understanding the show’s nuances and working closely with executive producers, I developed a clear narrative structure and mapped out the editing process. Our post-production workflow spanned visual edits, sound design, quality control, and color grading. I collaborated closely with senior teams and clients, incorporating necessary feedback to ensure the final product met high standards.Leading a team of creative editors, we successfully delivered 24 outstanding episodes that resonated with the audience, resulting in a revenue increase of over 100% for the company.
