He was my first choice after interviewing a number of people for the role I had advertised and I was thrilled he took the position. In just a couple of weeks, Dirie had already demonstrated a number of skills practically and situationally. He was crucial in the initial roll-out of a software deployment that he joined at the tail end of, executing the things that were asked of him quickly and effectively, requiring minimal guidance or direction and learning very fast. He regularly identified potential issues and provided expert ideation on solutions and configuration changes to resolve them. He was integral in a data conversion from an old system and was involved in mapping, the actual conversion process, and validation efforts afterwards. He also led weekly group (and individual) training sessions with trainers and consultants to facilitate new system adoption, providing a range of guidance on the system, writing documentation, and taking everyone through the associated processes involved. One of the things I was most impressed with was his successful connection of the software we deployed with Power BI via direct API interface, something that many had told us was extremely difficult and likely couldn't be done. I brought that problem to him and he brought back the solution with a full breakdown of how it was done and he did it quickly. Outside of the specifics of the project we worked on together, Dirie is a great person generally. I looked forward to the calls we had - he's very personable, intelligent, and great to talk to. Funny too. He always approached every ask I had of him with purpose and determination, but was still flexible and always willing to pivot where needed. Even when the ask was not simple or easy, he pressed forward. Dirie would be a great addition to any team in a variety of capacities!"
