Having executed several missions and exercices abroad, lots of experience in leading and encouraging people in all kind of situations, international relations, budget planning and education.Having served in the Belgian Armed Forces in Germany (1987-1992), in the Naval Component (1992-1997), in the Infantry (1998-2003) and in the Royal Military Academy (2004-2017) having been StaffOfficer International Relations and Budget Planning, and Commander of the upgraded Special Division - leading and guiding officer-cadets (medical, maritime and engineering studies) studying at civilian universities - under direct supervision of the Superintendant of the Royal Military Academy.As the StaffOfficer taking care of the foreign cadets at the RMA, organising on a permanent basis (f.i. organising the yearly domestic visit as well as the international tour abroad), as well as taking care yearly of the foreign delegations of officers and cadets in the academy, as well as of the international exchanges abroad in all its aspects. Organising the annual international evening within the Special Division with the support of the Superintendant of the RMA and the respective Embassies.Member of the EU-Implementation Group ´Exchange of Military Young Officers’ - EMILYO (www.emilyo.eu) , encouraging as such a military inspired Erasmus between military academies within the European Union in the first place.
