I have been in the power industry since graduating High School in 1981.After 7 years as an operator in the Nuclear Navy, I went to work at Prairie Island Nuclear Power Plant. I eventually became an SRO licensed, Advanced Simulator instructor. I left this job in the fall of 2007.I spent a season as a contract boiler operator until heading to Canada in 2009 to work at the Darlington Nuclear Plant as an Operations Instructor. I left in 2010 missing my new grandkids.I worked for three and a half years in the ethanol industry as both the Energy Center Manager, then the last 7 months as the Maintenance Manager.I worked for almost 8 years as the Operations Manager at the Olmsted County Waste to Energy Facility in Rochester, MN. I worked for 16 months as the Maintenance Supervisor at DFA in Zumbrota. Less than a mile from home. I am now an assistant service manager at Sprung Services working on boilers.
