As Electronic Technician, I work under direct supervision of the Offshore Installation Manger (OIM) and I am the designated electronics specialist responsible for the maintenance, repair, operation and material control of all electronic equipment on board the Prospector 1. Including the responsibility for ensuring all electronic equipment remains functional throughout operations so as to minimise downtime and all electronic/electrical systems are within safety and regulatory body compliance standards. In addition advising the OIM and Rig manager on all electronic maintenance, repair, replace and upgrade requirements.

Working as a service engineer for Kenz Service BV, fully responsible for mechanical, hydraulic and electrical inspection, service and repair of these hydraulic driven offshore cranes. Using the opportunity in getting the expertise of electrohydraulic closed- and open-loop proportional controlled applications for hoisting, slewing and luffing.In addition paying close attention to detail and delivering high quality work when making the breakdown analysis, filling in the work and giving advice for improvement.

Working for the Subsea Operations as Senior Mux Control Superintendent have to support, oversee and guide BOP pre-deployment test, running and pulling BOP operations and BOP client acceptance tests onboard the Ocean-rig vessels.

Working for the Operations Excellence department, Subsea division as Subsea Project Lead have to manage and lead the onsite design, installation, commissioning and testing phases of the project as it relates to subsea equipment. This includes the BOP and Mux controls, choke & kill systems, HP air and storage systems, heave compensating and tensioning systems and the riser system including riser handling equipment.

As Electrical Section Leader you are part of the rig-management team. During the ownership and operational start up phase, this team’s main task was getting the newly delivered vessel: ”Ocean Rig Poseidon” ready for operation in a safe and efficient manner.The Ocean Rig Poseidon is a 6th Generation DP 3 Class dual activity Drill Ship.

As Instrument & Control Automation Superintendent, responsible for standardization, specification, design, programming, installing, commissioning, preventative maintenance routines, troubleshooting and repair of control automation in Capital Rig Equipment in order to improve equipment uptime and reduce equipment operational cost.

As ES, responsible for providing technical advice to onshore operation management and carry out the direct supervision over the electrical field engineer and electrical service engineers.Support the rigs with all required activities necessary to keep the electrical installations in operation during normal and abnormal conditions.

In the position of Electronic Technician Supervisor, responsible for all Blow Out Preventer (BOP) Mux control systems, Drilling Instrumentation, Power Management systems, Dynamic Positioning (DP) systems and Acoustic Reference Positioning (ARP) systems on the four deep-water DP drilling rigs of Noble do Brasil. Advised on BOP Mux control system problems, investigated and reported on critical equipment failures and breakdowns.

As CEE, representing Noble Drilling Corporation at Hydril Technical Centre (HTC) and at Shaffer Corporation during the fabrication of three new build BOP Stacks and their BOP Mux Control Systems for the following rigs: Noble Roger Eason (NRE), Noble Muravlenko (NMO) and Noble Paul Romano (NPR).During this period, was assigned as the BOP Project Engineer for the NRE and the NMO and with specific instructions to develop myself into all-round BOP Mux Control Systems specialist. (Multidiscipline: hydraulic, electric, electronic and application software) After completion of the NRE and NMO BOP Stack’s and their Mux Control Systems, transferred to Noble do Brasil to supervise the installation and commissioning. Floating extra electrician in the North Sea for four Jack-up rigs, primarily stationed onboard the Noble Ronald Hoope and assigned on a required basis, to the Noble Piet van Ede, the Noble Lynda Bossler and the Noble George Sauvageau. Assist the chief electricians with reducing the maintenance backlog under the Neddrill system.In the absence of the Electrical Field Engineer, send to the rig with the critical equipment failure (SCR problems) to correct the cause (trouble-shooting)

As ET_Elec, responsible for keeping all systems onboard the trailer suction hopper dredger J.F.J. de Nul fully operational. Among these systems were: the power- generation & distribution installation, Alarm Monitoring system, DP system and the IHC dredging control systems. Function required independent planning, maintaining, trouble-shooting and accidental implementing small modifications.During major overhaul, repair and docking periods coordinated and supervised the activities of third party contractors (see dry-dock qualifications list).
