- Managing the software development department of Xerius (7 teams, 54 FTE, located in Antwerp. including supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation and recruitment.- Creating a project and team structure that produces high quality software against preset timelines, while optimizing use of resources and effectively handling a number of competing priorities.- Defining and maintaining KPI’s for the teams.- Establishing and maintaining regular communications with executives, department heads and end users regarding IT activities.- Searching permanently for improvements and optimizations based on IT solutions. Gathering of metrics to identify trends that help create business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.- Managing ‘ITON’ project where all business critical software was moved from Datacenter SD Worx to Arxus UpTime (Cronos Group) for private Cloud and public Cloud (Azure)- Managing transition to Windows 10 and Office 365- Managing transition all communication lines to Destiny.- Negotiating contracts with suppliers.- Implementing the Cloud first strategy.- Implementing a ‘quality’ mentality in the group.- Implementing high quality development standard (Unit testing, regression testing, automated testing, …)- Implementing an Agile mentality in the group by convincing the management committee of the benefits of Agile and rolling out it to business and IT- Thinking often out of the box.

- Managing the software development department of Katoen Natie (9 teams, 120 FTE, located in Belgium, Moldavia and Macedonia) including supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation and recruitment.- Creating a project and team structure that produces high quality software against preset timelines, while optimizing use of resources and effectively handling a number of competing priorities. - Defining and maintaining KPI’s for the teams. - Managing multi team projects with international scope (worldwide) for one or more internal customers (Business Units). Proactively engaging, informing, aligning, and facilitating key decisions with stakeholders. - Establishing and maintaining regular communications with executives, department heads and end users regarding IT activities.- Searching permanently for improvements and optimizations based on IT solutions. Gathering of metrics to identify trends that help create business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.- Implementing and motivating technologies and methodologies like Enterprise Architect, Archimate, BPMn, UML, BizTalk, e-learning, Data warehouse, B.I., O.C.R., SharePoint...- Negotiating contracts and S.L.A. with current or new suppliers.- Expert in Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision)- Expert in E.D.I. and e-business.- Thinking often out of the box.
