- Lead an interdisciplinary project team to develop components of a transdermal drug delivery device (publicly co-funded CTI project). The first working prototype was developed and the project was nominated for the Swiss CTI Medtech award 2007- Developed a new concept for a low cost current sensor- Co-invented and co-developed the prototype of a novel ultra low cost laser scanner for a transdermal drug delivery device, reducing the cost up to a factor of 40 compared to state of the art solutions- Contributed to various workshops and brainstorming sessions with customers relating to innovative sensing and actuating technologies, often leading to new projects- Assisted section head in project acquisition and administrative management

- Developed the next generation handheld metabolic analyzer prototype (electronics, firmware)- Developed a new ultrasonic flow sensor prototype and integrated a new proprietary oxygen sensor- Revised the electronics design of the company’s product, a handheld metabolic analyzer, improving manufacturing processes and lowering production costs- Performed sustaining engineering (hardware, firmware) on the company’s product meeting FDA requirements- Performed failure analysis and initiated CAPAs, resulting in a significant reduction of device complaints of shipped units- Elaborated sensor specifications and performed various FDA-compliant verification and validation studies
