ABOUT MEAfter my apprenticeship as an electrician, I completed a degree in electrical engineering.Afterwards I worked as a commissioning engineer mainly abroad. My tasks included the commissioning of the plant and the programming of the control system as well as the management of the construction site, the execution on schedule, as well as the conduct of customer negotiations on site and the correspondence to the project management. Further tasks were the acceptance of the plant and the training of the customer on site. A commissioning took up to 4 months. Countries of operation were China, USA, Iran, England, Poland and Germany. Due to my strong personal interest in the subject I decided to change to the field of computer peripherals as product manager. My independent tasks included market research, target group analysis, purchasing and price negotiations for products in Asia, visits to international trade fairs, defining specifications, formulating unique selling points, testing pre-series models, conducting product training and quality assurance.Since August 2010, I have been working at the company FTCAP GmbH in Husum, first as a sales engineer, and from 2015 as a sales manager. The company, which has been family-run for almost 70 years, produces and sells electrolytic and film capacitors worldwide. The company's strength is based on individual, customer-specific solutions combined with excellent product quality. Since mid-2018, the company has been part of the French MERSEN Group. My tasks as a sales engineer were the technical and the commercial consulting of our customer specific products, the market analysis, the development and implementation of new sales strategies, as well as the optimization of the product portfolio. As a sales manager, I lead and develop my 10-person team both in the office and in the field. In close cooperation with the management I develop the strategy for the future. In addition to reporting to the management, preparing the sales budget, forecast planning and key account management, I am also the contact person for the worldwide MERSEN key account managers.As I have shown again and again in my professional career, I master new challenges with great interest and always with ambition. During this time I not only learned to adapt to other cultures and mentalities, but also to find solutions for the most diverse problem situations again and again.
