About Dirk Nitzsche

- Research interests are in empirical area of asset pricing and asset management and in particular the performance of mutual funds and hedge funds. - Recent research addresses questions about the performance of mutual funds and in particular whether performance can be explained by luck or skill and calculations of the False Discovery Rate. - Written numerous articles in refereed journals and co-authored three textbooks in finance. A list of publications and more information about the textbooks can be found on the home page http://www.cass.city.ac.uk/experts/d.nitzsche- Teaching mainly on postgraduate courses which include Theory of Finance, Asset Pricing, Derivatives and Risk Management, Econometrics and International Finance as well as Matlab and Gauss Programming. - Course director for the three Cass Quants Masters Programs and Associate Dean for International Relations.
