Farm management – rain fed maize farming, irrigation farming, cattle and feedlot.With the Agridelight Group my responsibilities include the overall management of the Bokone Meat abattoir in Klerksdorp, Monontsha Feedlot and the implementation and management of the Northwest Grain Agricultural Park. Both Monontsha feedlot and the Agricultural Park are joint projects with the North West Provincial Government. The business rescue of Norjax Tomato processing plant near Tzaneen in Limpopo. A business the Limpopo Government bought into in 2009 and has since then run into financial difficulties.For the past two years, I am part of Angro Management (Pty) Ltd with the aim of putting up agricultural projects in Africa, projects currently involved with is farming projects in Sudan and Angola. In Sudan, the farming project’s purpose is the production of alfalfa under irrigation for the Saudi Arabian market.In Angola it is a farming project producing grain and horticultural products under irrigation as well as beef, adding value to the products and opening the market for the products. The communities surrounding the project are involved through a share farming model and the inclusion of their products in the value adding process and opening of the market.
