Since joining Frosty Boy in 2001, I have been privileged to lead a talented team to transform the company to becoming a world leader in dessert and beverage solutions. Today we deliver value-based solutions to more than 58 countries and are constantly committed to supporting our customers to succeed in their own markets, through our innovative research and development, in-depth marketing and operations strategies. My career has always been centred around the dairy industry; I grew up on a dairy farm in South Africa and studied animal science at the University of Pretoria. I began my career with a dairy processing facility, which was later sold to Parmalat. Soon after, I was offered an executive role within distribution for Parmalat South Africa. Beginning at Frosty Boy, I was excited to see the significant opportunities in the international market. In 2001, export represented two per cent of the company’s revenue and it now makes up for more than 70 per cent. Highlights over the years have included bringing Frosty Boy into the steady position of maintaining a 20 per cent year upon year growth rate, while also engaging highly talented workers and knowledgeable shareholders to invest in Frosty Boy’s success. Most of all, the greatest achievement during my time at Frosty Boy has been establishing a positive culture, which places a great value on integrity, customer service and support and I feel this has been key to Frosty Boy’s success.
