- Receiving of orders for new generators and fire pumps.- Allocating task to staff to ensure efficient completion of finished bases.- Checking alignment on couplings of fire pumps bases.- Quality checking completed work and correcting when necessary before SABS tests are conducted in Pretoria.- Ordering of service kits for generators and fire pumps.- Coordinating delivery of finished generators / fire pumps to clients’ sites.- Carrying out scheduled routine services such… Show more - Receiving of orders for new generators and fire pumps.- Allocating task to staff to ensure efficient completion of finished bases.- Checking alignment on couplings of fire pumps bases.- Quality checking completed work and correcting when necessary before SABS tests are conducted in Pretoria.- Ordering of service kits for generators and fire pumps.- Coordinating delivery of finished generators / fire pumps to clients’ sites.- Carrying out scheduled routine services such as refuelling of petrol and diesel generators as well as changing oil and filters.- Inspect & test equipment to identify malfunctions or defects, using tools and equipment relevant to the job.- Carrying out emergency repairs of generators and fire pumps.- Fault finding, diagnosis and repair of inoperative generators and / or fire pumps.- Troubleshoot three-phase generators and transfer switches and changeover panels.- Install and troubleshoot plumbing required for generators and fire pumps.- Maintaining logs, records and various files related to the maintenance and service of generators and fire pumps.- Responsible for maintaining preventive measures on the diesel power generators as well as its associated components like cooling, lubrication and fuel systems.- Changing or repairing damaged electrical generator motors or engines.- Building bases for generators, which includes welding, grinding and spray painting.- Setting up or breaking down of generators at customer sites, as well as moving current generators to relocated premises.- Ensuring that safety precautions are met before, during and after the installation and/or repair of generators and fire pumps.- Servicing and maintenance of company vehicles.- Delivering of generators and fire pumps to clients premises by utilizing the company truck (4 ton truck with 2.5 ton crane).- Rigging of machine work, generators, fire pumps and heavy equipment at various sites.
