During the summer seasons, I take on the role of coach at sailing school ‘Het Molenhuis’, where I oversee summer camps for children aged 8 to 18. In this role, my responsibilities include managing the overall program of the 130 children and leading a 30-person team together with three others. The focus as a coach is to enhance the didactic skills of our instructors, ensuring the safety of the children and staff, but also making sure they have fun and learn something

The Nieuwe Compagnie van Verre is a student association consisting of all the full-time students at Nyenrode Breukelen. As treasurer of the board, I was responsible for all the financial activities of all the committees, bars, and events (€1.5 mln). Together with the four other board members, we were responsible for implementing a culture change program, re-wrote all the sanctioning policies, re-established connection with the board of Nyenrode, and oversaw a major renovation of one of our bars. I learned how to work in an environment of organizational politics, had to learn to cope with resistance against changes, and was often in situations where I needed to weigh the short-term interest of our members against the long-term interest of the association as a board.

As chairman of the Zolderbar, I was responsible for one of the bars on our campus (€60k). Together with 12 others, we ran the bar during the weekends and for special events during the week.
