About Dirk De Korne
Dr. Dirk F. de Korne is a health scientist (PhD, MSc) who loves to practice and preach evidence based health care management. Zorg samen beter maken, daar gaat mijn hart sneller van kloppen. De afgelopen twintig jaar klopte het in (ziekenhuizen in) Rotterdam, Baltimore en Singapore. Het was een eer en genoegen om in 2019 terug te keren naar Zeeland en bij te dragen aan welzijn, wonen en zorg van (oudere) Zeeuwen die daar behoefte aan hebben.De manier waarop we bij SVRZ (kleinschalig) zorg en welzijn organiseren is uniek in de wereld. De meeste mensen willen zo lang mogelijk thuis blijven, dicht bij familie of vrienden. Vergrijzing, chronische ziekten en geografische veranderingen zorgen er voor dat dit vaak in de knel komt. In Nederland klagen we nogal eens over de zorg, maar lopen we op veel gebieden voor. Daar kan de rest van de wereld van leren. Mijn motivatie is bij te dragen aan het bouwen en behouden van een sterke Zeeuwse zorg, waarin we aantoonbaar goede zorg leveren en iedereen met plezier aan het werk is. Op een goede manier gebruik maken van innovatieve technologie en digitalisering zal daarin een grote rol spelen. Graag sla ik daarin bruggen naar andere sectoren en werk ik samen met de beste partijen in het vakgebied. De beste mosselen en uien komen uit Zeeland. Waarom zou dat anders zijn voor de zorg?
