Basically being in charge of the set-up of the new unit Application Management in ELCA I have at first integrated a small Swiss company, which had its competence in Enterprise Content Management (ECM) such as scanning, capturing and document management. After the successfull integration I built up a support organisation providing services such as service desk, support, maintenance and integration of 3rd party products.

This quite international business required being at customer site in EMEA region most of the time.I made first experiences in managing people after I had been appointed team leader of an engineering team at customer site.

Enhance the software products ELAN and ELAN-X with additional functionalities in technologies Fortran77 and C. Engineer a flexible catalogue module allowing customers to create and maintain arbitrary catalogues based upon C-ISAM with flexible record formats. Maintain and develop printer drivers.Install the systems at customer site. Support and advise customer how to install and configure the system.
