Dirk Petchul, Esq. is a partner in the law firm of Whitney|Petchul. He has extensive experience in the representation of California community associations in both transactional and litigation settings. Mr. Petchul’s litigation work has ranged from governing document enforcement actions to participation in a number of appeals that have benefited community associations throughout the state. His transactional work encompasses the full breadth of association and income property related issues including the preparation of opinion letters, disciplinary proceedings, governing document amendment/enforcement, commercial leases, contract preparation/review, election proceedings and strategic legal planning. Mr. Petchul is a frequent speaker, author and educator on issues affecting California community associations, and actively participates in the California legislative process with respect to matters that potentially impact California community associations. Mr. Petchul is currently a delegate for the Community Association Institutes, California Legislative Action Committee ("CLAC"), a member of several local CAI Legislative Support Committees in southern California, a member of the California Association of Community Managers (CACM) teaching staff, and an active speaker/educator for various chapters of CAI and with CACM. Mr. Petchul is also a qualified mediator, a member of OC Bar Real Estate Section and a California Real Estate Broker.
