Provided software configuration management solutions leadership for the engineering community using the Rational ClearCase product throughout the company. Contributed as a technical expert, implementing corporate standard tools and processes for product development teams throughout the company. Contributions included travel to the various sites supporting product development, for discussions about their existing tools and processes as well as creating migration plans for adopting corporate standards. Projects also included evaluating new tools and technologies in an ongoing strategy to continuously improve the corporate standard environment. Responsibilities included coordinating IT projects to support the product development teams, to maintain a stable, high-performance development environment.• Refined and stabilized the emerging Windows ClearCase environment and its interaction with Unix servers, integrating it as part of the standard engineering environment.• Worked closely with IT server, network and security, to establish software engineering centers in India and China. Traveled to India to provide ClearCase and infrastructure related training.• Worked closely with IT infrastructure teams to deploy and upgrade computing and software environments to meet the needs of the R&D community. • Worked with the IT desktop team to create a deployable Windows environment for product development, including troubleshooting and validating IT required software (e.g. antivirus ) as well as the development tools (compilers, etc) as required .• Developed solutions to resolve problems encountered by project teams that are distributed over several geographically distant sites.• After merging into the larger Coriant entity, coordinated development team requirements and resolved infrastructure problems to implement a solution that allowed two additional off-shore development centers to contribute to existing US based product development projects.

Responsible for configuration control and software build management. Senior member of a four-member team tasked with developing and supporting the software development environment for the main 3D modeling and animation product (Maya). The project involved over 50 developers in several countries, working on a 25,000 source file code base, building concurrently on Unix and Windows.

Created device drivers for scanner IO board and fax board as well as image libraries for these devices. Responsibilities included part-time system administration for all systems involved in imaging project.
