Worked on PM recruiting, designed and lead PM interview training for two years.Lead development of FB Camera v1 (iOS app), ported its design to the main mobile apps, dramatically improving mobile photo sharing. Created the multi-photo story format. Grew the Photos team from 15 to 40. Vetted & integrated M&A into Photos, including the Face.com team. Brought face-recognition based tag suggestions to FB's mobile apps with them.Envisioned & lead a massive refactor of FB's ad campaign structure, guided external strategic partners (Adobe, Kenshoo, Nanigans, etc.) on how to integrate the new structure in their product offerings, then redesigned Facebook's self-serve advertiser web UI around the new campaign structure with a more thoughtful approach to ease of use, productivity, and ease to adopt best practices. Built the immediate team from 3 to 40. Worked with over 100 engineers to make the refactor happen, indirectly lead work of a few adjacent teams, coordinated with all other Ads/x-PA product teams that shipped ads products to guide development on old vs/ new ads UI. Successfully rolled out the new experience to all advertisers, getting > 98% of existing advertisers to switch over by choice despite major UI changes.Built video search v1 with a small team, was responsible for integrating FB Live across all of search, coordinating between search PMs and the Videos org during lockdown, lead definition of how and where to integrate Live in search, and made the work happen while minimizing disruption and thrash to existing search team roadmaps. -

We built a reputation for our attention to detail, and for creating products that were easy to learn and to use, and were invaluable to many of our users.We bootstrapped into a profitable tech company with 13 employees, and won two Apple Design Awards with our work.My job at Sofa involved interaction and product design, software engineering, hiring, legal work, business negotiation, and people management. I was responsible for several of our products, many major releases, for marketing, business development, and business administration.Personally lead negotiations with Facebook to acquire Sofa. Ended up with a deal that was a big success for them, Sofa's team, and our shareholders. Shepherded all of our products to new homes in the process, to provide continuity to our customers and business partners.Checkout, point of sale for Mac, brought modern software design and ease of use into the point of sale space, localized to many markets, and found a loyal audience among boutique retail stores all over the world. (2008 Apple Design Award: runner-up great user experience)Versions was (and still is) the Mac’s most loved Subversion client , and the first that made both the most and least command-line savvy people more productive.
