Sinds 8 oktober 2023 gaat Gaza gebukt onder een extreme humanitaire crisis: evacuaties, beschietingen, drone-aanvallen, bombardementen, watersnood en hongersnood treffen de bevolking, waaronder vele kinderen.Actievoerders in Nederland en België proberen de bevolking in Gaza te ondersteunen, maar ervaren steeds meer tegenstand uit de samenleving en zelfs vanuit hun naaste omgeving zoals familie, vrienden, bekenden en collega’s. Naarmate het onrecht langer aanhoudt, wordt het voor actievoerders steeds moeilijker om vol te houden.Het is bovendien lastig om er zelf niet aan onderdoor te gaan, de moed niet te verliezen, of je verdoofd en uitgeblust te voelen. De situatie in Gaza was al onhoudbaar maar wordt met de dag uitzichtlozer en haalt zelfs geen nieuws meer. Steeds meer actievoerders (studenten, docenten, artsen, vrijwilligers e.a.) zoeken zelf hulp omdat ze het mentaal niet meer trekken. Gevoelens van machteloosheid, gevoelloosheid en depressieve klachten, halen langzaam maar zeker het vuur uit de acties. Daarom is er Gaza Resilience Live.
