Participating in the management traineeship programme with 3 different assignments within different parts of the global HEINEKEN organisation.HEINEKEN Netherlands - IT Service Delivery (4 months)- Identified and executed one Lean Six Sigma Green Belt improvement project streamlining the process of new users and workplace distribution, resulting in improving First Time Right delivery from 13% to 70%- Set up a Lean way of working for this team in 3 months to sustain the results of this improvement projectHEINEKEN International - Global Information Services - Strategy & Planning (6 months)- Executed the yearly operational planning cycle for IT project portfolio during Summer- Aligned key stakeholders to optimise the planning process (in time and iterative process cuts) and enhance the strategic portfolio management of GIS- Using Lean methodology, realised improvement initiatives to integrate the planning process with the yearly governance cycle (incorporate strategic alignment meetings between business and IT).HEINEKEN France – IT Business Solutions - Project Delivery (5 months)- Co-led one of the key Logistics projects of HEINEKEN France, where an integrated solution was sought for pallet and secondary unit labelling. Assisted in organisational change management for the 3 breweries and responsible for steering committee reporting- Analysed current way of working of TPM organisation to enable engineers with mobile applications- Piloted a continuous improvement initiative within the IT department to optimise internal processes and working environment (starting with daily and weekly stand-up meetings)

Involved in the organisation of the Day of Sustainability (10 October), where Microsoft was a partner organisation. To promote environmental sustainability and Microsoft’s engagement in this subject, I organised different internal and external activities. I gave guest lectures about Green IT and applications of Microsoft software on schools and during a sustainability bazaar. Continued my role as Project Manager in the CO2ACH online platform and was responsible for making the project open source and launch internally.

Wrote my Master Thesis about the impact of sustainability aspects of cloud computing on adoption by technical decision makers. Furthermore engaged as a Project Manager in a collaboration project called CO2ACH to develop an online platform to gain more insights in employees' environmental footprint and promote more environmental sustainable behaviour.

Managed the contacts between BIM students, companies interested in BIM students and professors of the Decision and Information Sciences Department of the RSM. Responsible for an internationally mixed committee of five persons, where fund-raising and organising formal and informal activities related to the BIM study are the key activities, as well as being ultimately responsible for the Study Trip Committee with destination Silicon Valley.

Set up a cycling team of 15 students from Rotterdam and Delft to ride to Madrid on a racing bike during the first two weeks of August 2012 for the Kinderen Kankervrij (KiKa) foundation, which supports cancer research specifically for children. We collected a total of nearly 43.000 EUR in donations.

Engaged in first level support to customers of 115 different web shops of electronic products with annual revenue of 100 million EUR. Also responsible for advising potential buyers, taking care of new orders and handling customer complaints.

Accounted for all operational revenue as member of the executive board of the biggest and oldest student fraternity of Rotterdam. Total revenue (€1m) expanded with 10% in comparison with earlier book year. Managed the operational execution of the Queen’s Day festival in the centre of Rotterdam (3.500 visitors and €50k revenue) and was responsible for student discotheque “Bikini” (revenue of €200k).

Managed the schedule, recruitment of new chauffeurs and keeping the contacts with one big client. Activities included dealing with different embassy related delicate packages and documents in the Netherlands as well as abroad.
