In my role as VP of Competition, I was heavily involved in hosting our first high school-wide mini-competition prior to the regional event. In preparation, I led monthly workshops with chapter members and weekly meetings with fellow officers. Communicated with outside parties (e.g. local food vendors, and merchandise companies) via email, phone calls, and in person.As part of the DECA organization, I successfully managed a Community Giving Project involving the creation of a refugee food drive 2 years in a row. I partnered with community members and local organizations to gain event traction, volunteer support, and crisis awareness. Represented the chapter at the regional, state, and international levels in 2022-2023. In 2022, emerged as an international finalist.

Being a leader on campus throughout high school has allowed me to become an involved and active student. As committee chair, I led a team with individually assigned tasks and weekly committee check-ins to ensure progress. Annual events that were the result of my team leadership include Pi Day, Academic Breakfast, Kindness Week, and Winter Wonderland. Gathering the help of outside parties has also played a crucial role in my time as a leadership student. For instance, my committee partnered with the local Ghirardelli location for gift basket donations for teachers and staff members. In 2023, I executed the first school-wide "Lip-Dub" event, involving the participation of all 2500+ students on campus. The student body was uniquely represented through a new school tradition.Bi-annual leadership conference attendee.
